Winner!
For those you don't know, since October 2023, I have been Chair of Visual Images Group (VIG). VIG is a not for profit membership organisation set up to promote visual arts across Buckinghamshire. Our flagship event is Bucks Art Weeks (BAW), where nearly 300 artists/makers open their studios, exhibit & sell their art/creations & share their love of art/crafts.
I am so very proud that on Wednesday, VIG won an award for 'Outstanding contribution to culture in Bucks.'.
It was awarded by Buckinghamshire Culture & is extra special as the category was created especially for VIG as they wanted to acknowledge our significant & ongoing contribution across Buckinghamshire, through our Bucks Art Weeks event. It was a privilege to accept the award on everyone's behalf.

Tiger, Tiger
I have started creating glass art wall panels (again). One off pieces of art to add a statement to your home.
This beauty is inspired by how I feel about tigers being used in circuses (in the olden days), in response to the latest exhibition at the Buckinghamshire Craft Guild.

My glass bees at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Huge congratulations to Theresa Wedderburn & the team at Branch-out MK CIC who won a Silver medal at the prestigious RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) Chelsea Flower Show for their floral display, 'Just how do bees see'.
The display explores how bees are believed to see the world, in ultraviolet light. I was asked to design & create some bespoke glass bees to be part of her display. If you look closely at the photograph, you will be able to see my bees.
